Now it was again a green light on a dock. His count of enchanted objects had diminished by one.

“It had seemed very near to her, almost touching her.” Again, the green light is an incredible representation of hope. In this part, the light vanished means his dream started to crumble. He was losing sight of his dreams, there were complications between the two of them during this part.
