“I’ll pay you back for this. I’ll do your chores for a week.” “We don’t have chores, you radish.”
Weirdly, none of the inspirational quotes she’d posted in the past held the answer.
“Please, Hannah. I’ll buy you an ice cream.” “I’m not a seven-year-old,” Hannah grumbled, climbing onto the stone bench. “I’m getting sprinkles.”
If he doesn’t have her back in twenty minutes, I could drown him and make it look like an accident.”
He thought of Piper strutting along his harbor and wondered how many car accidents she’d caused.
“Don’t put words in my mouth. You’re already making me eat this goddamn pie.” “No, I’m not!”
“It won’t let me just use my own name as my username.” “Yeah, probably because about nine hundred Brendan Taggarts joined before you.” “So what should I use?” “CaptainCutie69,” Fox spat out. “IGotCrabs4U,” Deke supplied. “SlipperyWhenWet.” Brendan stared. “You’re all fired. Go home.”

They observed his departure like seagulls watching a full slice of bread sailing through the air—and thanks to her harbor jogs, Piper knew what that looked like now.
She didn’t want to enter a club on a hydraulic unicorn.
She could jump, but she’d almost certainly break an ankle in these shoes. She’d break these beautiful Tom Ford heels, too, and that went against her very religion.
