Long and loose is the best way to have your hair if you want to escape an attack.

“No hospital. I, um, don’t have insurance.” Or a pulse, but that wouldn’t stop them from trying to bankrupt me.

Her stare is just a little too intense for a casual conversation. Maybe we’re past the threatening lawsuits phase of our relationship?

Does this mean Annie thinks I’m good? I’m not sure if I should be insulted, though the way her voice went up makes me think she sees it as a positive.

design is for people who only have a few years to live, a century at most. Those people need everything around them to be pretty and soothing to distract from their inevitable demise. Their stakes are higher. Life for them is a ticking clock.

Screens make the whole world a fish tank, all of us observed and powerless.

“As long as you didn’t attack her, you can probably fix it. Feelings can be fixed, arteries can’t, as the saying goes.

Breathe. Or don’t breathe but with focus.
