This 150-day period in Revelation 9 is in order to allow the demons to re-enter unbelieving humanity, afflicting their flesh with torment while also granting the immortality and power that sinful man has always craved. And so, even when they realize that their fate is sealed, death by their own hand becomes impossible. The demonic power within will not allow his host to abandon him, no matter what. He is committed to his task.
