Joel’s next phase is the swarming or multiplying locust. Here we focus once more on Babel, Nimrod and the origin of the Rephaim. From one man, Nimrod’s practices resulted in an explosion in the numbers of giants after the Flood, corrupting the world with his evil. So, we can see that the Rephaim were the “multiplying locusts” of Joel 1.
