I loved that dick. I craved that dick. Unfortunately, I just hated the prick attached to that dick.
“Plan for what is difficult while it is easy, do what is great while it is small,”
That would be the dream, wouldn’t it? To be worthy of one being who just wants me and likes who I am,”
You and me, we’re not created for dreams. We’re created for nightmares, and we’re okay with that. We’re smart enough to know that dreams are sweet whispers of promises that never happen or come true. Nightmares are what people fear most, praying they never unfold into reality. You never forget a nightmare because they haunt you forever.”
“That’s where you are wrong. I am someone’s dream, and you’re my nightmare, Knox.”
The monsters that live within each of you are the same, and I fear they created you to either lure Knox to his death or rule the Nine Realms at his side.”
“His mark isn’t just for claiming you, Aria. The mark on your shoulder, yes, that was a mark of ownership and a warning to others that you’re his and untouchable,” he said softly. “He didn’t just claim your flesh. He claimed your soul. The mark on your thigh, placed there by his blood magic, is deeply embedded into your soul, not even I can fully remove it.”
“Did that just fucking happen? I mean, I saw it happen, but I’ve seen grown men scream like a bitch when a bone dislocates! Not Aria, she’s like oh, my bad, let me slide this bitch-ass bone back into place. Oh, and who the fuck needs ribs, anyway?” Lore snorted, pushing his hands through his hair.
“The hardest part of losing someone isn’t saying goodbye. It’s learning how to live without them.
“You kiss anyone else like that, and I’ll fuck you on their corpse after I’ve ripped their spine out through their fucking throat, Aria Primrose.”
