It is an honour to be in the presence of him and his lovely wife.” Abigail sighed. “I do realise this, mother, but I’m not certain I’m in the right frame of mind to be around people of such status at present. I don’t wish for them to look down on me and think I am trying to be someone I’m not. I will feel out of place there.”
