Guru Vasishth replied, ‘Ram, disease begins in the mind. When we harbour poisonous thoughts, the Manomaya kośh (mental sheath) gets disturbed. This agitates the Prāṇamaya kośh (vital energy sheath). That disturbance manifests in the Annamaya kośh (physical body) as disease.’
