(4) If this movement is successful, and if in consequence the old standards are reformed or replaced by new standards, then this is also a historical fact. (5) Thus—so argues the relativist or moral positivist—we never have to transcend the realm of facts, if only we include in it social or political or historical facts: there is no dualism of facts and standards.
