“Fight with the spirit of the warrior I know lives in you. Fight for the good days. Fight to be stronger than anything the world hurls at you, fight for what you want. Always, Tatum, always. Because no one but you can make your life what you want it to be.”
“But the world is full of second chances, kiddo,” he promised. “You can make things good. Any situation. No matter how bad. It can be good again. I swear it. You’ve just gotta be brave enough to give life hell. Don’t settle for less. You’re not here to bow to the world, beautiful girl, you’re here to make the world bow to you.”
So if saving her means letting the rest of the world burn then pass me the fucking matches and I'll get the gasoline.
Blake picked the paperback up from her desk entitled Warrior Fae, flipped it open to the last page and tore it out before scrunching it up and tossing it in the trash. Fucking savage.
“Because the reapers of hell are here, Jonas,” I told him in a deadly whisper. “And they’ve come to collect your soul.”
“I don’t pity you, Tatum, I fucking worship you. Your pain makes me want to sin, but your strength makes me want to repent. I’m a demon trying to grow wings by standing in the blinding light of you.”
"I love you, Tatum Rivers," I growled, painting my fingers down her chest, stroking the full rise of her breast and teasing her hard nipple. "I didn't think I could even feel something like the things I feel for you. I didn't think there was enough good in me for it. And my love isn't something light and freeing, it’s obsessive and toxic, controlling and insatiable. But I feel it all for you.”
Because if I am to hold myself to any standard, my siren, my heart, my fucking everything, then there is no greater standard on earth than you.”
A flock of ravens,
My obsession with her had gone too far, my infatuation unstoppable now and never ending. She would never be rid of me. There was no place in this world or the next where I wouldn't find her, follow her, worship her. She was my light when all I'd ever known was dark and now that I could see, I refused to be blinded ever again. Because it would destroy me if I was.
