The rumors were that I blamed Heywood for everything from COVID-19 to the Patriots losing Tom Brady. Which, honestly, are not deeds I’d put past him.
Do words appear in his field of view like the Terminator? Has he been sent from the future to kill me?
If people were pets, some would have to be dogs: everyone likes them. Others, like cats, are a bit of an acquired taste and come with the understanding that it’s going to be a one-way relationship. I think I fall into tarantula territory—interesting to most people at first, but only worth the effort to a select few.
“Sorry. I appreciate the offer of help. There might be a point where I need something in a hurry.” “Like what? A helicopter? Billie Eilish singing at your birthday party?” “I don’t know who he is,” I reply. “Either way, I’ll let you know.”
