I remember that was the year the Yankees swept the Cubs in the World Series, and Seabiscuit beat War Admiral in a match race.

They ran the camera slow for the bucking scenes so the film could be speeded up to make it all look wilder and rougher than it was. If I haven’t already said so, this was a trick they used a lot in those old cowboy movies.
