The Light We Lost

There’s something about death that makes people want to live.

“I think it might have something to do with making a mark—in a positive way. Leaving the world a little bit better than it was when you found it.”

“Well, thank you for filling a dark day with light.”

Love does that. It makes you feel infinite and invincible, like the whole world is open to you, anything is achievable, and each day will be filled with wonder.

“His friends are pretty much asshats, but he’s really decent.

“It takes a guy to get over a guy,”

I’m concerned, ninety-nine percent of surprises should be avoided at all cost. When I can prepare for something, I’m much better at handling it.

Ordinary days sometimes turn into extraordinary days when you least expect them to.

The way people interpret a situation often says more about them than it does about the situation.

We see everything through the filter of our own desires and regrets, hopes and fears.
