Anger, jealousy, envy, frustration, hopelessness, fear, and many more emotions are negative and can lead us in two ways. It can lead us to the past to cause depression or worries about the future – sinking us deep into the pool of anxiety. Anxiousness may be the anticipation of things to come, but when it overtakes our sense of enjoying the present, it becomes a negative emotion, which would open the cankerworms to a host of negative emotions in our lives and leaves us drowning in despair and self-regret.
