Instead, our clear apprehension of God will then enhance our wondering, trembling adoration. And then, when we are resurrected, our resurrection bodies will be “spiritual bodies” so that we might fully bear the image of the man of heaven (1 Cor. 15:44, 49). Filled with the Spirit of the fear of the Lord, we will share Christ’s own delight in the fear of the Lord (Isa. 11:2–3). Not afraid of anything, the saints will be caught up into God’s own fearful happiness and will be overwhelmed by exultation in the glory of God.
