This is confusing, if he didn’t tell Mikey, then to whom was he speaking when he threw her under the bus?

He’s trying to answer a question she asked and is trying to be honest about what’s happening to him, and she mocks him for it. She thinks she is funny but instead she’s really a jerk.
I shook my head. “Unless I use my fire to burn away the door and the spell attached to it.
This phrase doesn’t make sense with the question asked.
“Which means what?” Darius asked,

I only know this reference from the movie Babe. I wonder if that’s what she’s quoting here.
