Find one block of time each day that you can clear away, and spend that time in the Generate mental state. You’re probably most creative first thing in the morning, so experiment with the First Hour Rule. Remember, your Creative Sweet Spot is not the time when your mind is sharpest. You want to think divergently so you can have insights. Later on, you can think convergently and turn those ideas into finished products.
