Some (including Adam) have blamed Eve for being the first to take the fruit and then offering it to her husband. However, it was Adam, not Eve, whom God told to leave that fruit alone; Eve hadn’t even been created yet (Gen. 2:16–18). It was up to him to teach her the one rule God had given, and he obviously didn’t do a very good job.
