Praxiians are very focused on appearances and house honor, and he couldn't marry Sirroc without becoming an outcast and losing all his business.

This just seems like an earth issue, not just earth but contemporary earth. Ancient civilizations had open,y gay people, famous arms of all gay men even. I feel like someone being gay would just be so low down and not a big issue in an interstellar traveling universe. Remember, earth was previously considered a barbaric planet and so far behind advanced cultures no others in the universe are suppose to even interact with it.

But she didn’t actually do that in this book.

All kinds of stuff. In my ignorance, I thought I’d done enough research. Nope!

Does anyone else notice she regularly has to apologize for getting thing wrong or handling things poorly? I really hope she starts putting a lot more effort on the front end, before the book is published, so there is less issues after the fact.
