And stories from sources—of moneylenders in villages in Telangana who demanded ‘sexual favours’ from the wives and/or daughters of those they lent money to; bureaucrats and ministers raping children in remand homes and orphanages in rural Maharashtra; and of a man who raped his girlfriend’s friend who had approached him for a loan when in dire straits.
