‘You could always try to mail-drone it back. But theft is a long, proud tradition for many museums, so that decision’s up to you.

But for all the strategising, for all the narrow escapes and near misses, when you boiled it down, war was nothing more than an argument in which no one had landed on a better solution than killing each other.

‘Because I didn’t want to. And when it comes to a person’s body, that is all the reason there ever needs to be.

Speaker was awake, but hadn’t left her bed. She had no plans to do so anytime soon. It was very, very morning.
