Referring to a bus driver that wouldn't stop. Unnecessary to make the 'chicks' fat - generally disparaging towards women. There's a lot of that in this book
Jimmy’s ladders could well have been recently discovered proof that early man could use tools.
Funny.
From a practical point of view it started in the middle of nowhere, and went nowhere in particular. It could have been a monument to life in Ecuador.
Somewhere in the bottom of the truck, between bums, bags, shoes and crumbs, were six medium-sized tortoises, probably scared shitless. A yelp from Ashley announced that she’d found one. A further yelp announced that it had decided to be scared shitless all over her.
