“Find a secure communicator and tell the other outposts what has occurred. Anyone who touches her will have to answer to me. This could be the breakthrough we’ve been waiting for.”
“I am Clecanian. Lignas is my race. You’re human, correct?”
“So that makes it okay for you to rape him?” Alice whispered.
“He hasn’t consented. You know what you’re doing is wrong. Don’t pretend like it isn’t.”
Surprise, followed by warmth, spread through her when she heard a rumbling purr emanate from his chest.
“Good boy, tiger.”
No, why give him that nickname?
“You need to be worried about yourself. Follow the rules.”
“You can’t help him.”
“I’m sorry, Luka. If you weren’t drugged and you asked me to fool around with you, I would without a second thought, believe me.”
“Well, I guess he knows how to fetch.”

“I can see you’re starting to panic,” he said, holding up his hands. “But I’m part of the rescue team. I’m Izzo.” He gave a small kick to Luka’s shin. “And this idiot is my brother.”

The fear shone on her face, but Daisy lifted her hand to Izzo’s anyway. Their eyes locked as he clasped her hand in his much-larger one and shook slowly. Everyone’s eyes widened as a low purr sounded from Izzo.
“I am Queen of this city, Tremanta. Located on the planet of Clecania.”
Maxu finally allowed his unwavering gaze to slide down Luka’s body, settling at his wrists. Luka followed the fixed direction of Maxu’s stare and had to take a step back. Blue mating marks circled his wrists.
She was so lovely, sitting there, smiling. All of his dreams of her had been accurate. His unconscious mind hadn’t played tricks on him by enhancing the beauty of her eyes or the wicked curves of her body. She was real and perfect.
“You’re his mate. He isn’t yours. If he doesn’t have enough sense to see how lucky he is to have found you, that’s not your problem. He needs you. You don’t need him.”
“You tell me if he acts like a pishot, and I’ll make sure to hack into his home’s programming and make his life a living hell.”
“I don’t wish to talk to you right now, Alice,” he said through gritted teeth, then sat back down, not meeting her eyes.
Wtf
Rhaego, who’d been nothing but kind and sweet to everyone he’d spoken to, sneered in Luka’s direction.
“I’d like to kiss you.”
“What makes you think I’d want to kiss you?”
“I’ve never kissed in the way Jade described, but if it elicits this reaction from you, then I’d be happy to do it every minute of every day.”
“I’m a fast learner. Top marks in all subjects.”
“I tried to kiss you before. You pulled away.” He grinned. “I wouldn’t have if I’d known what I was in for.”
“I plan to have you in that bed as long as you’ll let me, and I don’t want those girls to interrupt,”

“You thought I’d be mad about a beautiful female, my mate no less, running her hands over me to keep me from being tortured?”
“My very DNA has been altered by you. I’m stronger now. Faster.”
“Do you feel that? It’s physical. Biological. I may not know much about you, but my soul recognizes yours.”
“When I’m not near you, I feel…wrong. I walk around all day, unable to concentrate. Like I’ve forgotten something but can’t recall what it is. It’s maddening.”
“You should know that right before the meeting a few days ago, Luka broke a bone in his lower leg. His fibula. He tried to ignore it so he could make it to the meeting. Walked all the way around the lake just to see you.”
“Careful, love. You almost stepped into the fire.”
Gripping her hair hard enough for her to feel a pleasurable sting, he tilted her head to the side, exposing her neck. She could feel his hot breath on her ear, his lips ghosting over the skin of her lobe.
“I can scent your need, Alice. Let me help.”
FINALLY
“But you smell good enough to eat. Let me relieve you. I won’t do anything more, I promise,”
“Don’t push me, Alice,” he growled low in his throat. “Or I’ll have to do more than I promised.”
My mate, wet for me.
He acted exactly the way she wished people would act with her, and that scared the ever-loving shit out of her.
“No touching and no watching? I can’t do both.”
“You are more than welcome to touch me anywhere you want.”
Making her come had brought him pure masculine satisfaction, but knowing that she liked who he was made him feel…so much more.
“Yes, love. I was more than okay. Without those classes, I wouldn’t be able to arouse my mate with just a touch to the wrist and hand,”
“On Earth, it’s customary for a couple to kiss after a date. I could lift the ban on face touching for a moment if that would help.”
Like lightning, his hand shot out and gripped the back of her neck. He slanted his mouth over hers and kissed her until they were both gasping for breath.
He leaned forward and kissed her more slowly, languorously, taking his time to learn what made her breath hitch and fingers clench.
“You look…beautiful.”
Nobody had ever done anything like this for him, and he was completely puzzled as to what he’d done to earn it.
“Do you want to feel my purr while I’m buried deep inside you?”
“Say you’re my mate. Say you’re mine.”
