The rationale is, again, an alleged civil and constitutional right for foreigners to enter the United States.

Even four years—the government’s more reasonable climb-down—is longer than many drunk drivers guilty of vehicular manslaughter get.
Then, after the attorney general finally dismissed charges that never should have been brought, the judge presiding over the case asked private parties to file briefs against Flynn in order to justify punishing him anyway: kritarchy as individual vendetta. Does it get any more banana republic than that?
The use of those words is so offensively contrary to the truth that one can’t help but suspect that the contradiction is intentional, meant to rub in our faces that the government can do and say to us whatever it damn well pleases. “We rule; screw you and shut up; we know we’re lying, you know we’re lying, we know you know and vice versa; eat it and like it.” That’s the message.
Opinion is no longer divided: to be a moral American in good standing today, one is required to hate “stop-and-frisk.” Its effects were felt too heavily by disadvantaged groups. That the practice also saved the lives of thousands of members of such groups is either denied or not allowed to be stated.
The real distinction here is that the Proud Boys are regime dissidents while Antifa members are ruling-class shock troops.
The reason the ruling class can insist that Hunter Biden “broke no laws” in his business dealings with various foreign governments is because he didn’t. That he was paid millions to do nothing in a field in which he has zero experience admittedly smells to high heaven, but as long as pols and their families are willing to brazen out a little bad publicity—and they always are—nothing will come of it.
More than 1.1 million foreign students are currently enrolled in American colleges, most of them taking a spot that might otherwise have gone to an actual American—most also paying full freight, which is one reason why our colleges are happy to shaft their fellow citizens in favor of aliens.
Three hundred seventy thousand of those students—nearly one-third—are from China, America’s greatest national security threat.
I am sorry, and even a bit trepidatious, to have to say this, but the most storied and powerful agencies in our government—the Justice Department, the FBI, the CIA, the entire “intelligence community”—are, all of them, corrupt. Their leaders do not operate for the common good or in the public interest but in furtherance of their own, and of the ruling class’s, which is the same thing. They need not—and often do not—obey the law. If they believe or even suspect you might be a threat or an obstacle to their rule, they will use their vast powers to crush you.

Every late-arriving box of Democratic ballots in the trunk of some activist’s car must be counted or else our democracy is a fraud, just as every Republican absentee ballot must be scrutinized and discarded for the slightest irregularity. Whatever works.

There are three core elements: the “Narrative,” the “Megaphone,” and the “Muzzle.”
A more accurate way to understand the Narrative is as the product of a hive mind. The people who set and sell it all essentially come from the same socioeconomic class, received the same education, grew up in or move to the same neighborhoods, work in the same industries, and share the same tastes.
As Xenophon explained more than two thousand years ago, the wise ruler is always liberal with other people’s money but tightfisted with his own.
The unspoken formula is: all whites have privilege; those who, in 2020, have the most deserve it because they have the correct views. Those others? The truck drivers, plumbers, cops, nurses, and teachers? They’re the real villains.

Yet every year, hundreds of thousands of girls, aided by their eager parents—Barack and Michelle Obama included!—carefully prepare college applications into which they pour every detail of half a decade of earnest academic and extracurricular achievement in anxious anticipation that they might be admitted to an institution—with a rape rate hundreds of times that of Detroit.
The core of the old understanding was retained, but “racism” was now said to be possible only from those “in a position of power.” And for post-1960s leftism, deplorables are always and will forever be “in power” no matter how much their average incomes and lifespans may decline or how many billionaires or presidents of color there may be. Hence only white people can be “racist”;
What else explains the notorious “1619 Project”? It can’t be “news”: 1619 was four hundred years ago.
It’s a form of domestic intellectual terrorism—conceived and pushed by the nation’s most prestigious and influential opinion-making organ. Has any society in the history of the world ever been subjected to such deliberate internal treachery from one of its own commanding-heights institutions? Though, of course, from the perspective of the Times, it is not “treachery” at all but fealty to the one true faith, for which it is not enough that New America succeed; Old America must be destroyed.
Jeff Bezos’s personal newsletter to the beltway elite, the Washington Post, is much less subtle—it pumps out the straight party line—perhaps because its readers are a bit more obtuse. Television’s role is to shorten, simplify, and amplify the message. Cable and social media ensure saturation coverage.
Hence any story that can be spun as “innocent lamb killed by racist white cop” will be so spun, even if the victim was an adult with a criminal record, was in the process of committing a crime, and moved to assault said police officer, who in turn wasn’t white.
The boys had themselves been, and were still being, harassed—viciously and profanely jeered by a group called the Black Hebrew Israelites. Not only that, but they were hardly “privileged”—just ordinary middle-class kids from a part of Red America with (at the time) an unemployment rate about 25 percent above the national average.
You might think so-called “news organizations” that chose the Russia hoax as the biggest story of the twenty-first century and then proceeded to get it entirely, demonstrably wrong—over and over and over—would lose their viewers, their credibility, their money, and eventually go out of business.
they’re not “news organizations.” First and fundamentally, they’re the Megaphone—the essential transmission apparatus for ruling-class propaganda. You can’t broadcast the Narrative without the Megaphone, and the point isn’t to get the story right, it’s to broadcast the Narrative.
I came to the conclusion that the purpose of communist propaganda was not to persuade or convince, nor to inform, but to humiliate; and therefore, the less it corresponded to reality the better. When people are forced to remain silent when they are being told the most obvious lies, or even worse when they are forced to repeat the lies themselves, they lose once and for all their sense of probity. To assent to obvious lies is to co-operate with evil, and in some small way to become evil oneself. One’s standing to resist anything is thus eroded, and even destroyed. First, Republicans and conservatives get “fact-checked” exponentially more often than their opponents.
Second, the fact-checkers’ definition of “fact” is elastic. When a Democrat speaks, he almost has to dispute the laws of physics to draw the attention of a fact-checker.
Statements such as “Cutting taxes will lead to economic growth” are thus given “four Pinocchios”
If they say bias doesn’t exist, then it doesn’t. Who’s going to challenge them?
Nor do the conservatives who spend countless hours—years, really—compiling examples of media bias realize that they are playing the left’s game.
The “debate” will always take place on leftist ground, under leftist rules,
with leftist umpires.
At the front end, they indoctrinate workers on what can and can’t be said (and thought) and make clear the price of noncompliance. On the back end, they fire—without references, and often with a public shaming—anyone who steps out of line.
One wonders, logically, where this ends. If heretics are to be denied not just the right to speak but the ability to make a living and see doctors, how are they supposed to stay alive? Or is that the point?

One need not actually, clearly oppose the subject under discussion in order to be blameworthy; declining or neglecting to celebrate it forcefully enough will do.
The left’s strategy is: any time anyone who is not “one of us” and doesn’t love our plan for them repeats what we say, destroy them. The rest can’t be allowed to get wise.
it also laughably flogged the Narrative that the arsonists, looters, and shooters destroying the city were “white supremacists” and “Trump supporters.”
The hard left already considers displaying the American flag to be a sign of hatred and violence. How long before the FBI agrees?
