Such paranoia is preposterously unfounded and arises almost entirely from projection. The left pretends to fear being ruled by the right because it knows that its own deepest desire is to rule the right without consent or constraint. By contrast, if most on the right had their way, they’d prefer to disconnect from the left and let them do whatever they want—on their own space, on their own time, on their own dime.
