I love the humor and these utterly outlandish - or should I say "outworldly"? - situations are plausibly presented!

This "deus ex machina" device is perhaps more far-fetched than time travel or alien artifacts.

Probably - that misconception is horribly ignorant, though admittedly if "BC" for "Before Christ" was in English, why would "AD" be in Latin? But so it is.
