I learnt the importance of friendship and loyalty from the Breakers. And I learnt to be a ruthless, violent bastard from the Skins.
I love them. I fucking hate them. I want them. I never ever want to see them again.
Our Pen. Our lucky penny…
I can be Dax. I can be her Dark Angel. I can be the boy she loved.
“Titch,” I breathe against her ear. “York,” she mutters back.
A penny. I reach for it, my fingers stroking over the shattered heart, and resting on the coin. Beneath the Queen’s head is a name. Tiny.
“You broke me first,” he accuses,
“We were a fucking family, Pen. You fucked us up. You fucked me up!”
“The only men I want are my Breakers. It’s only ever been you four,”
“I need all of you. I always have. This was never just about me,”
We vowed from that moment on, that no matter what, the Breakers would come first. Always. We vowed to look out for each other, protect each other. No matter what. But Xeno forgot one fundamental thing. We all forgot.”
“You, Pen. We forgot that you were a Breaker too.
“But you did break us,” he accuses softly. “You broke me.”
“What are you doing here?” “Dancing with you.”
