The shark turned to its right in a wide arch. Its tail swung across the surface. Welch saw the grey caudal fin coming right at him. It was the last thing he saw. The tail struck the Captain. His body popped like a bug on a windshield, forming a huge red cloud. Mangled body parts were airborne, launched by the sweeping motion of the megalodon’s caudal fin.
