If you believe racial difference is biological, you will look for biological explanations. ‘Everybody has a general belief in race and then they have stories about it, either something they’ve seen or something they’ve experienced. And the two reinforce each other. History, psychology, politics, we all have our belief systems and myths and things which a hundred years from now are not going to be true.’
