She handed me a card with a phone number on it to call. I didn’t understand why she couldn’t answer my question—it seemed fairly straightforward. I took the card and went back to my car to call. A young woman picked up and I asked my question again. I asked her specifically if they had any resources to get support with childcare, diapers, formula, or clothes for a newborn. She told me that she didn’t know of any resources but that they had counselors and pregnancy centers who could provide ultrasounds for a pregnant woman. Disappointed, I hung up the phone.
