no woman should be afraid of the man who is supposed to love and protect them.
“Try and answer a door while I’m here one more time and this Timb going straight up ya ass.”He
Lake put up a good front, but deep down, he was feeling her. She was just so perfect to him. Everything about her was like a call to him. Avery had grown up a lot from the last time he had seen her, and that was a long time ago.
Driving home had her thinking about a lot. Mostly about Lake. She barely knew him, and he had such a lasting impression on her. Avery never felt anything that he made her feel in the twenty-four hours that she had spent with him. She loved Ky, and they were on the right track back to the love that once was. However, she couldn’t lie and say that it was the same, and she didn’t look at him differently.
When she touched him, it made Lake feel like everything that never was, could be. He didn’t feel so empty. Her touch, he’d never felt anything like it before.
Lake didn’t look at Avery like a man who wanted to have sex, or a man who thought she was beautiful. He looked at her like she had the key to something he desperately needed. Like she was the answer to his prayers.
Ivy was convinced that Ky hadn’t given her true love because what her sister had going on with Lake was deeper than she’d ever seen. It was intense. It was soul yearning.
“Exactly what I said. I like you. I want you. I want you all the time. You giving me that pussy, it’s mine. I tried to let you make the decision on your own, give you time, but you wanna keep moving all crazy, so I gotta give you some order.”
