Then, it motivates us to quickly turn to Christ as our only hope for salvation. And finally, it instills and maintains in us a great reverence for God, His Word, and His ways. This reverence keeps us mindful of God’s presence so that we would be careful in turning our affections to the right or the left or to do anything that may dishonor God, break its peace, grieve the Spirit, or give God’s enemies a reason to speak scornfully of Him and His kingdom.”
