“God, you had me scared out of my mind,” I whisper. “There’s no way I could leave you, Bitsy,” he murmurs. “Told you, you hold my heart. I’m not going anywhere.” “You better not. I don’t want to live without you.” I say, tears falling down my cheeks. “Good, because when I get out of here, I’m puttin’ my ring on your finger. You’re stuck with me, Bitsy,” he declares before letting his eyelashes flutter back down and drifts off back to sleep.
