To me, Sam is a reminder of what is possible when we don’t give up. For five years, I knew this dude. I watched him get in trouble again and again. I watched a faculty of committed, caring people rally around him and try to give him their all. And then in one quick swoop, the right messenger at the right moment stepped in and unknowingly did the trick. He cracked the front, which allowed the seed of hope and confidence to take root.
