is good, and bad. That’s life. I guess that’s one thing The Sight makes me see clearer than anything else. It’s all about the choices you make, the actions you take. Cause and effect. If you do nothing, nothing will happen. If you do everything, everything will happen.”
And yet no matter what we’d experienced over the years, I’d always had this one burning light right beside me, like my very own star set to guide me back home always. Darcy. My other half. My one, truest love.
When the Wolves were out of sight, I kicked off my shoes and started stripping down, a grin pulling at my lips as I stuffed everything into my pack which was shaped like a cloud with white glitter glimmering on it – and was cool as shit thank you very much.
Having Orion’s new number was a treat in itself. I sent him daily photographs of me and Darcy together with captions like #sheaintblueoveryounomore and #teamDeth. He’d blocked my number after threatening to rip my intestines out and strangle me with them – among other murderous threats - but then I got a magical app which sent my texts from anonymous numbers so he couldn’t keep me away. It was hilarious. And very intentional. Because I was officially kickstarting Mission: Get Darion Back Together.
The glittery shitbags remained deathly quietly, but I had the feeling they were laughing at me.
“The stars are never at my back, Geraldine,” I grunted as I ran on. “Those sparkly motherfuckers only ever send me bad luck.”
“Good golly lobsters,” Geraldine sighed and for once I knew exactly what she fucking meant.
No one wanted a sandy vag. Dammit stars, why do you have to be such fucking V blockers?
The truth sat on my tongue, weighing it down as heavily as lead. That I’d never be done with him. I loved him too completely. In every minute of every hour, right down to the space between seconds.
