We’ve all been taught that mistakes are terrible, a source of shame that will tarnish us forever. Frankly, that’s true only if you don’t take accountability for them. Here’s the thing—many mistakes are inevitable and forgivable. Yet, no mistake is worse than failing to own up to it. It’s a matter of character and integrity.
