“Pain.” His strong voice echoes around my dizzy head like a sinister, dark promise. “That’s what you need, Aurora. Lucky for you, I have plenty to give.”

“Keep eating.” “I-I’m already eating.” “You’re not doing it enough.” “How about you? Aren’t you going to eat?” “Who said I’m not? I’m having you for dinner.”
Aurora received the news of Alicia’s death the day she reported her father’s crimes. No idea why I haven’t thought about that fact before. All her tragedies happened in one day. One blow after the other. She was only sixteen and didn’t know what life was before it was snatched away from her. No wonder she needed a rebirth.
