apathy.
These beliefs are firehosed into our psyches by our parents, teachers, culture, governments, and the media.
you’re the average person in the developed world, you spend 70 percent of your waking hours there.
Hard work and hustle as a path to success are a modern myth.
By hurling yourself into the abyss and discovering it’s a feather bed.
the false belief that you have to work harder than anyone else. To put more hours in. In other words, to hustle. Anyone who believes this buys into a lie that’s simply not true.
someone who recognizes and uses the power of the world “within us.”
The badass is the archetype of the changemaker.
To truly be a master of life you need to integrate the skillsets of both. When you do, you live life at a different level from most people:
You find great joy in what you do. Work and play become one.
You’re no longer burdened by thoughts of overwhelm. Multitasking becomes easy.
You’re able to tap into ideas, inspiration, and creativity on demand so that you become a source of innovation and creative output.
In short, reality doesn’t really exist. We make it all up. All the time. And you can bend reality. You can shift it and mold it and play with it. It’s quite fun. When you get it right, work and life all become one. A masterful act of living perpetually in play as you seem to have superhuman abilities to juggle it all.
Consciousness engineering is a framework for expanding your level of awareness on any subject.
A model of reality (MOR) is a belief.
A system for living (SFL) is a process.
If you think of the human being as a computer, then your beliefs are like your hardware.
I want to make the invisible visible. I want to expose the method behind the magic. Whenever you see someone doing something incredible in health, in sports, in business, there is a method to their magic. Because genius leaves clues.
Bending reality is a particular state of mind where it seems like life unfolds magically.
prefer to think that we are much more than that. We are multidimensional beings.
We imitate more often than we radiate.
A unique marker for our soul based on the experiences that soul seeks to have in this lifetime?
In business-speak, your soulprint is created by uncovering your foundational values.
“Given my values, given what fulfills me and how I want to grow, what can I uniquely offer the world?”
Eight years later, I realized the folly of this method. I had confused my personal values (foundational values) with my company’s values (organizational values).
Foundational values define the soul of a company. They bring the right people into the ecosystem.
Organizational values are developed once people are in the door.
This is why organizational values are not enough. For organizational values to truly matter, they need to be rooted in the underlying why of foundational values, which come straight from the founder or founding team.
“Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.” So how do you discover these
STEP 1: CHART YOUR PEAKS
“Close your eyes and remember some of the most painful experiences you had as a child.”
“What matters to you in life?” he asked.
The next step was to look at this list and cluster the related values.
The next step was to name these clusters. It became apparent to me that these four values had become like a part of my DNA.
When you know your soulprint, you know your unique edge.
Step 1: Reconnect to peak moments in the past.
What is the most painful experience you went through as a young child?
Step 2: Write out the story in detail.
Step 3: Repeat the process for ages five to twenty-five.
Step 4: Write the values that emerged from those moments.
What beliefs did you take on? Beside each memory write one word to describe the belief or core value that you think came from that moment.
Step 5: Define your values.
You don’t need to know how to achieve an outcome. Forget knowing HOW. All you need to know is your WHY and WHAT for doing it. Then, you share this with passion. The people you need will come to you. And they will bring the answers you need.
And usually much faster than you expect.
You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete.
Give up needing to know all the answers and instead focus on attracting the people who will make the vision a reality.
TACTIC #1: THE MANIFESTO
A manifesto won’t simply get you more applications. It’ll get you people who jell with your values and beliefs. It will get you the right kind of people.
TACTIC #2: FIND YOUR BIG WHY
“People don’t buy what you do; they buy why you do it.
