She did what was asked of her, coerced into normality. As a result, she couldn’t remember the last time she could tell weeks apart, let alone days. Her runs around the sun mixed into an alphabet soup of moments of things that possibly happened but had no lasting importance. She probably could have done something to stop it, but never did. In time, Mondays rolled into Wednesdays and onto the last day of the month until it was already Christmas.
