It is not your responsibility to save everyone. Don’t put that kind of pressure on yourself. Do the best you can to spread your light where you can.
Today feels heavier than most and tomorrow might too. There is uncertainty lingering in the air. But I have hope. I have strength. Those are two things I can control. I will get past all of this unknown.
It is okay to acknowledge that things are hard to hold sometimes,
Dear Present Me, There are sunrises over here. Coffee you will savor and not chug to stay awake. You smile more than not. When the rain does fall you allow it to hit your cheeks and know that is good for you. You found light over here in the midnight moon. I can’t wait for you to see. Love, Future Me
Make sure you are loving yourself.
While you are picking up everyone else’s pieces, don’t forget you have pieces to pick up for yourself too. You can’t pour from a broken glass. Take time for you.
Sometimes you have to love people from a distance. You have the right to create boundaries. You have the right to not pick up the phone and listen.
This isn’t goodbye though. It is a new beginning. Not an end.
The past is behind you. If you want new beginnings, then stop looking back. Stop reliving the past. Shift your focus to the future you can have.
Even here in the unknown, beautiful things can grow.
I took a wrong turn. Hit a dead end. Wrong turn again. But I am on my way. That’s what matters. At least I am still driving with my destination in mind. I could have just given up on the roadside.
Anxiety has a way of robbing me from living in the present.
You may feel like you are constantly back and forth between the messy chaos and the calm. But that is where you discover the most about yourself.
Kindness needs no certainty, just hope.
Don’t forget the roads you have crossed. The accomplishments checked off your bucket list. Maybe right now you feel in a stand still, but don’t forget all of your progress.
“The decision I made that day is what got me here today.”
I am messy.
