He stepped back and I stared at him with my heart pounding as I found a world full of faith gazing back at me. No one had ever looked at me like that. Like I was unstoppable.

Darius barked a laugh as he placed his weight back on the rack and sat up. His muscles bulged from the workout, the Phoenix and Dragon tattoos which danced with each other on his back gleaming with sweat.
“So, I’ve been thinking,” he said slowly. “Don’t go doing yourself an injury,” I deadpanned and he smirked.
Don’t be with him because we were together once. For one, too brief, earth shattering moment, you were mine. And I never should have let you go.
“Can I see your house?” I asked, glancing hopefully at the branches surrounding us. “Do you want to?” he asked, rolling onto his back with a frown. “It’s just a house.” “No…it’s a piece of you.” I reached over to trail my fingers across his jaw. “I’m collecting the set.”
