“Look, I don’t know what this thing is between us or where it’s going, Blue, but after everything that’s happened, the one thing that’s clear to me is that I don’t want anyone else. So, this crystal is a promise from me that I’m yours. For now. Forever. Or till it all goes to shit, I don’t know which yet.”

“You’re what I latch onto to bring me back from the shadows.”

There was something about him that just made me feel calm and kept a smile dancing around my lips.

“Can you guys just call me Gabriel?” he asked with the hint of a smile. “I’ve already seen enough of our relationships in my visions to know we’re Nebula Allies and if we’re going to be friends for life, I’d rather just cut the shit.”

She is so…everything. Does she know how everything she is?

“I can’t stop, Blue. I know it’s fucking insane. But I’ve stopped caring about the consequences. This thing between us gets stronger every day and I can’t fight it…can you?”

It would be almost impossible to let go. It was as if the stars themselves were pressing me into his arms, holding me there and refusing to release me.

“I’m just so afraid that the second I tell you I’m all in on this, the sky will come crashing down around us,”

stared at him with my heart pounding as I found a world full of faith gazing back at me.

Loving her felt like a promise of a future.
