But don’t forget you asked for it.” He slammed his fist into my door, and I leapt back as a crack split up the centre of the wood, but his retreating footsteps sounded a moment later, letting me know he was gone. I sank down onto my bed, shaking all over though I refused to acknowledge it. Tears slid down my cheeks, but I ignored them too. Because I didn’t care about Darius Acrux. And he certainly didn’t mean enough to me to make me cry.
