“Sawyer is the eldest, he started teaching here last year. Then there’s the twins, Slate and Onyx, but they’re real assholes. Slate thinks he is better than everyone else and Onyx just looks like he wants to murder anyone who looks his way, and well, you met Kalen.”
“You have been summoned, oh dark and sinful one,” I tell him, bowing low and winking at him when I rise. That earns me a smirk that only a psychopath would give. I love it.
I can’t imagine a school for criminals banning coffee; there would be complete and utter carnage.
“Um, are you okay?” Elsie asks as we stop at the dining hall. “You look like you’re about to go on a murder spree and become the UKs next best serial killer.”
“I lifted her phone, changed the location to the pub. Borrowed her car to meet you. Made sure she couldn’t show,” she says with absolutely no remorse whatsoever. I don’t know if I should report her, punish her myself, or be grateful. As it stands, I’m pretty impressed. Shit, shit, shit.
“I have cash,” I tell him. And I do. I lifted some out of Baxter’s wallet when I was on the back of his bike Monday night. It’s kind of shitty, given how he helped me, but I figured he wouldn’t mind too much. I also had an inkling that it may not have been his money in the first place.
