The more active we become, the more our brain craves for further activities to get a similar kick. The brain only knows the acceleration, not the uniform speed. That is why today people with more active lives are more prone to boredom and depression. The best way to kill boredom is to slow down completely and do something quite boring and stick to it till the time the brain starts absorbing it. The most boring thing for the mind is doing nothing. Though it may sound easy, doing nothing is the most challenging task because our brains are wired for activities.
