As modern-day Christians it is still vital to our spiritual health to practice the Sabbath. In setting aside a whole day to rest and worship, we are actively seeking to abide in the Spirit’s presence. The goal of the Sabbath, and of attending a Sunday church service, is not the gathering together with people for play and community, but to enter into God’s presence.
