Business agility is the ability of a company to adjust to changes in the market and the demands of their customers. If the company's solution for this is to simply make a department or even just a single team agile, they haven't understood the challenge. Of course, you can apply agile practices exclusively to product development or service delivery, but as we observed in this company, the effect is limited. When agile teams reach the borders of the non-agile portion of the organization, they will eventually get stuck and be unable to reach their goals.
