SEPARATE, THEN DONATE Instead of piling everything up to be donated to one charity shop down the road, try separating your donations to make sure they go to a good home where they’re needed. Send your unused makeup to a women’s shelter; your old shoes or blankets to a homeless shelter; notebooks, folders or textbooks to a local school; old towels to an animal shelter; or books to the local library or bookshop. Think outside the box and find places where items can definitely be used.
