I turn my head toward Jace, who’s already staring at me with a bright-eyed look on his face. “What?” His gaze flickers to Harper before he leans in closer. “I can’t wait for you to be pregnant.” The comment is unexpected and I pull back. Oddly, after letting it settle for a moment, it’s not unwelcome. “Oh yeah?”
