No attempt, she made a pun. Wether it is recognised and appreciated js a separate issue.

But my father could. Amanda says the Alpha for her pack in Germany where she grew up … he could do that as well.”

Missy was having a good day. She’d found running with her new pack the night before to be exhilarating. There had definitely been a new awareness which she’d experienced when each pack member had acknowledged her as their Alpha. Her animal nature had been deeply affected. Somehow. It wasn’t anything she could explain, exactly. Not in human words. But her essence had felt all the added power which she could draw from her pack.

From the little I know about werewolves … and this is thanks to our own Gene and Amanda … they all do need to Shift during the full moon. And, it’s probably best if their Alpha is with them during those pack events.
When Missy finished at the range, she felt she finally had some free time she could spend checking on her new pack. While she could mindspeak with them when they were nearby, she’d found that ability was limited. Once she was a mile or so away, that dropped off.
She realized she could never find the words to express how she felt but hoped Missy would somehow just know. After all … that’s what Missy always seemed to do. She always seemed to just know things.

After Missy disconnected her phone and headed off to her room at the barracks, she smiled inwardly. Yes. And, as far as higher places went, she and Tracy had often talked about there being those Fabulous Fates who were surely very much responsible, working their magic for the two of them in mysterious ways.
In game terms, the "Fabulous Fates" would be the GM setting the plot of the story.
Sal grimaced as he looked over at Ben but then he looked back at Robert. “Evil witches. Yeah, that’s what we’re dealing with now. Unbelievable. Nobody else believes in crazy shit like that but, thanks to our mutual friend … should I call her the Good Witch from West Point?” He chuckled.
Oh, that's a good pun. Kudos to Mz. Allison for that set up and punchline.
This time, she teleported to where Wagner Shen and Antony Ying were located. They were in their apartment building, but in separate rooms. She sensed another witch was there as well. She spent several minutes with both Wagner and Antony. Neither seemed at all aware of her presence. Evidently, with her body still back at the academy, in spite of her being present with all her powers and abilities in spirit form, they were not affected. Her body must somehow be preventing them from noticing. This pleased her greatly, since now she could truly go about, invisible to all. The Fates were

She suspected there was some sort of time limitation on how long she could remain separated before either her body, or perhaps her entity, her spirit form, would have difficulty. She realized she was doing things no one else had done. Or, if they had, there was no documentation.
unfortunately, freedom isn’t free. You know that.
Interestingly, she was not able to use her healing ability. She couldn’t use it to wake herself up nor could she do anything to help Mike, John or Tracy. Apparently, she needed to be “whole” for that. She knew she could heal when she Shifted to her spirit form but, now being separated from her body, this was the one ability she wasn’t able to have.
Just ask me whatever it is you want me to do and your faithful assistant Igor here will of course be thrilled to comply.”
I envisioned her affecting a humped shoulder and speaking in a croaking voice when speaking this line.
The week had flown by for the cadets, only each minute had dragged. Taking exams did that.
Yes. I remember this odd feeling from my college days.
Missy and Tracy had continued energy exchange sessions and Missy was now confident. Her proficiency was excellent. While not a new ability, exactly, she knew this was a new way for her to use an ability she’d discovered by accident, when dealing with Arvind Pancholi.

Carlos studied the two witches. Unlike them, he wasn’t able to sense other supernaturals unless they were Shifters.
Missy tells me you witches are able to sense all supernaturals.
